Pi Patel and Maheesha

I am currently thumbing through a book called "The Life of Pi" by Yann Martel. A very interesting and thought provoking book that combines wit, humor and plot with common sense and intricate observations in the right proportions. After a long time, i feel i have read through a book that not only gives a nice plot (like Dan Brown's DaVinci) but also makes me think about my own self (Like FountainHead). 212 more pages to go..................

And yes, Pi is not 3.14, but the name of the young lad in this book and Maheesha is that of a Bengal Tiger.. :-)

Snow Boarding

Over this weekend, i just realised that snow boarding offered more fun for me than skiing...

As they say,
snow boarding is difficult to learn, easy to master...
skiing is easy to learn, difficult to master...

I was thinking of making it public after i completed the development of my portal by at least 50%...but then, as usual, i am lagging a bit behind.

Chocolate Chip Cookies..YUM!!!!

I was exploring my culinary interests lately...especially baking. I decided to try out a traditional home made chocolate chip cookie recipe...and YUM! it did turn out pretty tasty!

My next trial is the Chocolate brownie!

Finally my own website!!!!

Yes! it is true! :-)

I finally bought a domain all for myself. I wanted to register the names www.borrasandhya.com,
www.martinigeek.com

though both were available, I finally went for www.chocolatemind.com

So that is where i will be transitioning to in the coming few weeks. I am trying to make my site more like a portal with multiple applications and utilities and hey, if you want an email address like "yourname"@chocolatemind.com with 2Gb free space,virus protection and other accessories, just email me. if i know you, you will get one ;-)

Catskills and Snow Shoeing

We were camping in snow this time(Catskills mountain ranges in Upstate NY)....and snow shoeing across cross country ski trails to get to the camping point....a few pictures below:

Thats the Vehicle (Chrysler Pacifica - i did not find anything really great about this vehicle) and thats the gear (now that was some gear!) :-) We were dressed in so many layers that we were actually sweating in the snow!

Now, thats me....all dressed up and ready to hit the trail.

The below picture is what makes it worth all the effort! ....the view from inside our tent put up on the top of a mountain....farfar away from human inhabitation.....we could hear the snow falling softly.....

Vegas!!!

Never wanted to get back to normalcy! Never wanted to leave the place....
